Munich exudes Bavarian charm. Beer fanatics should head immediately to the Hofbräuhaus, a hops heaven that’s been churning out the good stuff since 1589. The drinking is downright legendary during Oktoberfest, a celebration of local beers and German specialty foods. Emulate world-class athletes at the Olympiapark, where skating on the Olympic ice rink will make you feel like a champion. The promenade of Marienplatz is perfect for people watching and gawking at the Glockenspiele of City Hall.

This monument is the Bavaria Hall of Fame and Monument to Bavaria. The statue is of the patron and female personification of Bavaria. At over 18 metres high, she stands elegant and confident, overlooking the Theresienwiese. As one of the landmarks of Munich, it's a great photo opportunity. Behind the Bavaria statue is the equally impressive and colossal building of the Hall of Fame. The corridors of the hall contains the busts of men and women who have contributed to the development of Bavaria. A walk through the wide corridors resembles a trip into Bavarian history, as the three-winged portico houses busts of important Bavarians from the last few centuries.

The Rathaus is very large and has a lot of decorations high above. This dragon, however, is just above your head. Definitely worth a 2 minute stop while visiting Marienplatz!

Statue erected on the banks of the River Isar commemorating the 25th anniversary of the 1896 victory over France.
This is a beautiful monument that captures your eyes when walking near the Isar river. The golden angel is atop and looking down over the area to commemorate Germany's victory over France in 1871. The water fountain is remarkable as well.

This bronze statue is in Munich city center. It’s told if you rub it’s nose you will have good luck. I kept rubbing his nose whenever I passed by him for the fun of it :)
