TLDR; this is a tremendous experience for the adventurous traveler; if you have an open mindset about meeting new people, enjoy hiking and the outdoors, and don't mind an occasionally rough ride, this is an incredible trip and well worth your time. Having never traveled outside the US, I wanted to go big on my first solo trip with the 62-day excursion from Pretoria to Nairobi. Since it was such an extensive trip, I was looking for the most value for my time, based on price, activities, and safety. I backpack often, so beyond basic comfort was not a priority for me, which turned out to be a good mindset to adopt since we camped nearly the entire trip, & rode in a truck with no AC (Namibia gets hot!). Tip - be ready to retrieve the rain fly for your tent during unexpected 3 AM rain showers! However, nearly all of the sites we stayed at had the option to upgrade from camping to comfortable indoor accommodations, which was a nice option to take advantage of occasionally. Once we reached our site for the night, we began our daily rotating duties, which included helping to cook, clean the truck, and do dishes, which I think added to the experience and helped bond our fellow tourists. Traveling solo, I felt safe at all times with our guides, drivers, and locations. My trip was split between two guides, Crispen, then Pete, and they were great company that looked out for us and kept us safe and informed about everything around us. Our guides were familiar with the paths and knew everyone at our destinations. Nothing surprised them. Our drivers were impressive as well, with Harmony and Francis keeping us safe on the often-tumultuous African roads. Navigating both urban and off-road environments in our trucks was no easy task, and Francis even proved his mechanic skills during the occasional break-down. The variety of locations we stayed at were simply incredible. From Cape Town to the deserts of Namibia, the Okavango Delta to Zanzibar Island, the mixture of urban and remote landscapes couldn't have been better. We saw every animal you can imagine. On a trip like this, an open mindset is key. Traveling for two months with strangers can go any number of ways, but due to this trip, I now have lifelong friends scattered across the globe that I can't wait to visit. This wasn't just a vacation, it was a lasting, eye-opening experience that I believe everyone should try if possible. I can't recommend this trip enough. I wish I could go back to January and do it all over again.

Honestly can not recommend Shinzelle enough! We’ve had the most memorable experience and are now sat at Johannesburg airport waiting to go home and are truly sad to be leaving. From the moment we were picked up from the airport everything was seamless. We were even given a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite which was awesome. The food was honestly incredible- huge thanks to the fantastic chef who prepared everything and to Amy for making everything run to plan and even arranging for us to go to an elephant sanctuary- a definite highlight! But by far the best part of our trip was their FANTASTIC guide Jayden. He is like a walking encyclopaedia and answered every one our questions with ease. Every day he went out of his way to make our experience special and found us every animal- even the notoriously hard to find wild dog. We honestly cannot thank Jay enough for making this trip so incredible. Jay- if you get to read this, if you’re ever in London look us up. We’ll happily return the favour and give you a tour of our concrete jungle ????! If your hesitating about booking with Shinzelle- please do it, will be the best decision you ever make!

Three of us were in Hazyview last week and did the four day trip with Shinzelle. Jayden was our driver for the safari and he was absolutely wonderful!! He is so knowledgeable and astute in his awareness of animals, birds and their behaviour. The lodge where we stayed was great, the food brought to our room each night was fabulous (kudos to the chef) and there were even monkeys swinging in the trees to make it more perfect. Can't recommend this safari enough!

The Crocodile River is the focal point of this tour. Endless Summer Tours were recommended to us when we started to plan our ‘once in a lifetime’ trip to South Africa. We had a number of things we wished to tick off and some were extremely personal and important. From the beginning, Ant was so friendly, accommodating and ready to work to deliver exactly what we wanted. He and his team went over and above to make sure everything was perfect and they continued to be super flexible and helpful throughout. We wanted to go to Botswana initially and then moved on to Sabi Sabi for 4 nights. This reserve was Ant’s recommendation and blew us away! It was perfect and we ticked off the ‘Big Five’ comfortably. We then moved onto Sun City stopping by Dulstroom along the way. In Dulstroom, we went to ‘Wild About Whiskey’ where you can taste whiskey & gin to your heart’s content. Highly recommended! We ended our trip in Sun City at The Palace. We have young children and they absolutely loved this place! It was great to chill out and enjoy lots of time together as a family. The guide who accompanied us was Steve & what a lovely guy he is. He was friendly, funny and really helpful. When we left to come home, we all had heavy hearts and promised that although we had only intended to go once, we would definitely be returning to South Africa regularly and will always use Endless Summer Tours. Thank you guys, see you soon!
