Northern circuit for a week and Zanzibar for a week. Despite having limited reviews, I decided to go for Raja Tours since it was very attractively priced and I was impressed by their quick response and helpful attitude on emails. While we were on the trip, the quality was exactly as promised - from our guide to hotels to food! I would highly recommend them if you're planning to visit Tanzania and / or Zanzibar.

The largest member of the antelope family cuts a striking figure as it grazes on the open fields, and the park's huge array of birdlife (over 400 species) make it a birder's paradise as well. Big cats such as lions and leopard are also available

Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest reserves in the world with a huge elephant population. It was named after Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter and early conservationist, who died here in 1917 fighting against the Germans. Selous safaris have the added bonuses of guided bush walks and boat safaris, as well as 4x4-based game-viewing, providing a more divers experience than safaris in other reserves. Good chances of seeing Wild Dogs here, and birdlife is prolific.
