We begin this wildlife photo tour by heading north along the western boundary of the National Elk Refuge to Grand Teton National Park. Here we will travel along the southern park roads watching for wildlife and stopping frequently for photo-ops. Wildlife we frequently encounter on this trip includes bison, elk, deer, moose, pronghorn, (aka antelope), fox, coyote, bear, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might choose to stop at the Jackson Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

Exclusions: Gratuities, National Park entrance fees

Grand Teton National Park is one of the most scenic national parks in the world, with the magnificent Teton Range being the center of attention. The jagged mountains rise an impressive 7,000 vertical feet above the Town of Jackson. As the youngest mountain range in the Rocky Mountains, very little erosion has taken place which allows for such an amazing landscape. Experience the Grand Teton National Park with your professional guide at dawn or dusk for the best opportunity to see moose, elk, bison, wolves, bears, bald eagles and more. Your guide will suggest frequent stops along the tour for incredible photo opportunities, hopefully capturing a breathtaking sunrise or sunset. Tours can be customized based on your specific interests focusing on wildlife and scenery to the history, geology, thermal activity, ecology, photography and more.
Inclusions: Binoculars, Spotting Scopes, Bottled water, Snacks, Soda/Pop, WiFi on board
Exclusions: National Park Entrance Fees, Guide Gratuity (recommend 10%-20%)
We had an outstanding full day tour with our guide Jesse. Although the weather was somewhat cloudy we were taken to beautiful lookouts of the Tetons, Lake Jackson and the Snake River. We saw over a dozen moose, hundreds of elk and almost ten big horn sheep. Jesse's knowledge of local history, geography, geology, and flora and fauna is outstanding. His love of nature is inspiring. He has many stories to tell that alone are well worth the trip.
At Globe Trekkers we offer private boutique tours. This tour is no exception. When in Jackson there is so much more to see than just The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.
