Things to do in Montepulciano, Tuscany: The Best Cooking Classes

February 12, 2022 Velvet Mowry

Montepulciano makes a great base for exploring the Tuscan hill towns. Just make sure to pack well-broken-in walking shoes, because cars aren’t allowed in the center of town. Explore the Duomo of Montepulciano and the Palazzo Tarugi… or sample the local wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which has been praised for centuries.

Parco Villa Trecci

The park of about three hectares spreads out on the hill between the Val d’Orcia and the Val di Chiana, in front of Montepulciano. It is discovered along a path that reveals different environments; the garden of the gray plants, the large flowerbed of the grasses, the lake of the aquatic, the rose garden, the lemon-house, the extended green spaces interrupted by secular olive trees and bushes with fragrant flowers.
