Montefalco is a town and comune in the central part of the Italian province of Perugia (Umbria), on an outcrop of the Colli Martani above the flood plain of the Clitunno river, 7 km (4 mi) SE of Bevagna, 11 km (7 mi) SW of Foligno, and 9 km (5.5 mi) NW of Trevi.

We were promised a tour 3 hour tour around the factory- and what we got was the standard 1 hr tour. On the day the factory was not operational( they do not work on Saturday’s). We were not informed about this when booking. We paid 70€ instead of the standard 9€ for nothing different We were given gifts - presumably to make up for the price difference and to justify the price- they were too large to bring back when travelling by air and products one could have easily bought . Nothing unique! DAY LIGHT ROBBERY! Go direct to the factory

4. Montefalco, Middle Ages & Wine – Artistic and Enogastronomic Tour
Montefalco, home of the famous Montefalco and Sagrantino wines, is called “Umbrian Balcony” because of its spectacular position on a hill overlooking the wonderful Umbrian Valley, but it is also famous for its history and artistic wonders! Walking along the beautifully preserved medieval walls, you will reach the fascinating church of Sant’Agostino, decorated by the famous Gothic painter Ambrogio Lorenzetti. Piazza del Comune, the main square of Montefalco, is located at the top of the hill and is surrounded by amazing palaces built in the Middle Ages. You will then visit the wonderful church-museum of Saint Francis, where you will admire important frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli, depicting the Stories of the life of Saint Francis, and by Perugino, Raphael’s master, who painted here a beautiful Nativity Scene. 6. Medieval Montefalco, a balcony over the Umbrian Valley – Private Tour
Montefalco, home of the famous Montefalco and Sagrantino wines, is called “Umbrian Balcony” because of its spectacular position on a hill overlooking the wonderful Umbrian Valley, but it is also famous for its history and artistic wonders! Thanks to a knowledgeable and passionate guide, you will discover its Roman origins and medieval architecture, strolling through fascinating and picturesque alleys.
