Known for its medieval history, its auto-making prowess (as home base of both Ferrari and Maserati) and its famous balsamic vinegar, Modena is a treat for visitors of all ages. The 12th-century Romanesque Cathedral of Modena, with its spectacular Ghirlandina bell tower (under restoration until the end of 2010), is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This tour was incredibly enjoyable, fascinating, and educational. How often can you learn about something new, that you will remember every time you shop for Italian food, and have a beautiful and enjoyable day with interesting people. Our tour guide, Arianna, was smart, beautiful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The other people on the tour, from Norway, were just as much fun. We developed an appreciation for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar, met some wonderful Italian people, saw beautiful countryside, tasted excellent wine and had a fantastic meal overlooking a valley at the end of the day. It may be the most memorable tour I have ever taken in years of travel. I recommend it most highly. It was actually in May, 2019, but that date was not one of the options I could chose in this review.

Absolutely the best day I had while visiting Italy. Angel was our guide for the entire day. At the first winery we had the pleasure of starting the visit with a tour of the vineyard in a horse-drawn cart, followed by a fantastic lunch with km0 products. Visit to the village of Suvereto and finish with more wine in a family winery where they create one of the most appreciated wines in Italy. I can say with certainty that this day was one of, if not the best day of our vacation in Tuscany.

Tourism everywhere has been hard hit by the pandemic but we made the decision to travel to Italy including a short stay in Bologna. On an initial walk round the historic centre, we decided that we needed a guided tour to get the most of our time there. We chose Bologna Tour and were so glad that we did. Sonia handled our booking very professionally and she introduced us to our guide, Frederico, at the agreed meeting place. We then spent two fascinating hours walking around some of Bologna's best sights. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging and given us a very helpful insight into the city and it's people. As tourist numbers are down so much at present, we got a private tour for the price of a group tour! It was a thoroughly enjoyable tour and I would definitely recommend it.
