Located at the Pipestone National Monument, the name translates to "jealous maiden" from the Sioux language.
This beautiful waterfall is about midpoint in a 3/4 mile walk at Pipestone National Monument. The stone formations are impressive - so are the twisted trees and prairie grasses. The mist coming off the falls are refreshing. It is a very tranquil and inspiring spot.

Minnesota's tallest waterfall at 120 feet.
We enjoyed our trip to these falls which are part of Grand Portage State Park. It is well worth the walk. Enjoy the scenery on this easy trail to pretty waterfalls.

Gorgeous, free to view waterfall and unique bridge overlooking it all. Visited it on our way to New Ulm. Right by the road and theres a porta potty. I brought my young family (2-4yrs), there is fencing by the edge to either sidea of the bridge. Not for those with a fear of heights. The falls were rather dry when we visited end of August but no one else was there so its not busy.

Breathtaking waterfall at Judge Magney State Park.
So glad we stopped here on our way to Grand Marias after spending the morning in Grand Portage and High Falls one day. Took Hwy 61 south after leaving High Falls (another awesome waterfall highest in MN) and stopped to see Devils Kettle. Bring water on your hike as it’s a 2 mile round trip hike with over 175 steps. But well worth it!!! So neat to see the 2nd waterfall disappear in the hole. You can get pretty close to it as well climbing out on rocks. Lower falls has a place to swim. Several were swimming when we were there. If we had our suits we would have jumped in too. Must see park when your visiting the North Shore!

One of the city's oldest and most popular parks.
This is a fabulous gem in south Minneapolis - it's got the attraction of the Minnehaha Falls (fabulous all year round), some nice walking trails and the wonderful Sea Salt restaurant (summer only)…. be sure to get in line early! Summer time often has free concerts in the park - this is a great place to go explore on your own or with people. A family and dog friendly park!
Scenic rapids located within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
