At the shore in Miami Beach, visitors can swim, surf and jet ski in the warm and crystal-clear Atlantic waters. You can also nap on the white sands, work on a tan or simply watch the beautiful people, especially at South Beach, a favorite of models and celebrities.

The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is the only Museum dedicated to telling the story of 250 years of Florida Jewish heritage, arts and culture. The museum is housed in two adjacent lovingly restored historic buildings, at 301 Washington Avenue on South Beach, that were once synagogues for Miami Beach's first Jewish congregation. The museum's focal point is its core exhibit, "MOSAIC: Jewish Life in Florida, 1763 to Present" and its temporary history and art exhibits that change periodically. A Collections and Research Center, several films, Timeline Wall of Jewish history, museum Store filled with unique items and Bessie's Bistro complete the experience for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
The museum is being renovated, but has a wonderful art show in its annex next door with impressive works by famous artists such as Marc Chagall. The show is well worth stopping for. However, make sure you take the walking tour of "Jewish South Beach" with Howard Brayer, who is amazingly knowledgeable volunteer. Armed with photos, he will make you see so much that you missed noticing in that neighborhood. Thank you Mr. Brayer, we really enjoyed our tour!

This is really only an art museum whose theme is human sexuality. The owner of the exhibits had a hard time finding a city that would accept such a controversial topic but finally Miami Beach agreed. It's not for everyone but it is for those whom embrace and celebrate their sexuality. A lot of culture and some history here so it's informative and educational. Paintings, research, statues, pottery, boxes, vases, folk art, and regional art work from North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Abstract to comical to historical art presented in the numerous rooms. Very friendly staff and very clean restrooms. It's located on the second floor. The historical aspect includes Kinsey, Hirschfeld, Nazi, Masters and Johnson and photography of Italy, movie stars and celebrities. Very comfortable atmosphere, no pressure to hurry, not crowded no judgement. Treated sex and sexuality as it if were natural. Look for the horny Disney characters and Popeye.

A visit to the museum will teach about the three major historic design styles in Miami Beach, MDPL's history, a resource center, children's area, rotating exhibits and much more! The Art Deco Museum allows visitors to better understand the architectural heritage and community culture of Miami Beach. It was designed to be educational and informative while reflecting the fin and glamour of Miami Beach.
I am a resident of Miami and decided to visit a local museum. The Art Deco Museum taught me a lot about MB architecture and history, they also have temporary exhibits with local art which I thought was a nice touch! Definitely recommend!!
