Museum of the City of Mexico (Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico)

The Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico is located in the Old Palace of the Counts of Calimaya, an eighteenth century building converted into a museum in 1964. Recently renovated, the museum offers temporary exhibitions of national and international artists, tours of the Palace, lectures, children's and family workshops, concerts and many other activities.

I had a wonderful tour of this museum. Exhibits are gorgeous and fabulous. I totally recommend to visit this place to all tourists who travel to Mexico and want to learn about the wonderful history of the various civilizations who built the country.

Mumedi Mexican Museum of Design

MUMEDI,the Mexican Museum of Design is dedicated to design in all its areas, and has an amazing and specialized bookstore and object shop, a great restaurant, soon a 6 room hotel and incredible exhibit areas, inside a building constructed from parts of Montezuma's father's home and also the first Hernan Cortes house. A place you have to visit!!!

This museum is in an excellent location next to there Zócalo, and it's free. The exhibition on the ground and second floors was of the founding of the Metro (subway) in the late 1960s. The first floor had an exhibition of other photos.
