Really nice independent pub, friendly atmosphere great on a sunny day, strangely tranquil space surrounded as it is by supermarket car park, roads and railway lines

I grew up in Rainham and the Mackland was a favourite of my Dad (Gerry Murphy) and, when I was older, me too. There was an owl in a cage on the bar years ago. The owners (Jan and her hubby) were always lovely. Beer was always good. Loos were terrible which, of course means great pub. One of very few local pubs left in the world worth saving. If you live near station road, hi and have a pint when they open

Our first visit back since lockdown and did not disappoint. Always thought Coopers is one of the best pubs in Rochester and still do. Popped in for a post-dinner drink yesterday evening. Very safe procedures in place in the new COVID world - temperature checking, signing in, one way routes - they are taking it reassuringly seriously. Great service as always, and good drinks. Garden is a perfect oasis off the beaten track and always a pleasant atmosphere. Still one of our favourites and shall be back soon.

The Three Sisters Public house Rainham kent is privately owned by Bernard Woolmer and Gail Willoughby since 9th September 2015. Gail and I have strived hard over the last three years to turn the reputation of the pub into a friendly community pub. Currently the pub retails wet sales only, however the Three Sisters Kitchen will be opening next year providing traditional food, English breakfast all day and a carvery at the week ends.
