Mauritius is arguably Africa’s wealthiest destination, a tropical paradise with tons to do. Port Louis, the modern capital of this 38-mile by 29-mile island, is a bustling port with a revitalized waterfront and a busy market. But most visitors gravitate toward resort areas such as Mont Choisy, quiet Trou-aux-Biches and the more bustling Flic en Flac, popular with scuba divers. Rivière Noire is ideal for those looking for great deep-sea fishing.

Heritage Golf Club had recently hosted the Afrasia Open Golf Tournament. But that aside we have played the course on many other occasions over the last few years and it has always been it tip-top condition. Fairways are immaculate and greens similarly. The rough is pretty friendly but don't stray into the long grass as you can say goodbye to your ball!!!!! It is a challenging course from the Blue Tees and Red Tees and course management is essential. Buggies and pull carts available and a good length driving range. There is a teaching-Pro for lessons. I had the privilege to play from the Tournament Tees (6100 metres plus) with a European Tour Pro and that is difficult and long for the average length player. The greens are very undulating and tricky to read and knowing which way the 'grain' lies is a help. The General Manager and his Green Staff do a great job in maintaining the high standard. Great staff who are always friendly and helpful. The Proshop carries some very nice lines in clothing and is priced similarly to Proshops at up-market courses elsewhere. Always an absolute pleasure to play Heritage and we will be back for 2 weeks in December.

Set on the breathtaking Northern part of the Island, the golf course is fast becoming a favourite. The Only 18 hole Championship course in the Grand Baie area is designed by Peter Matkovich and showcases magnificent views of the mountains, islands and oceans as well as captivating the history, heritage and indigenous vegetation of Mauritius. Mont Choisy Le Golf has received a nomination for the award as the World’s Best New Golf Course in 2018. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch everyday and is open from Wednesday to Saturday for dinner as from 7pm.
On arrival met by a warm and welcoming team on duty at the clubhouse. One of the most beautiful golf courses I have had the pleasure of playing, Flanked by a mountain range to add to the dazzle, The early morning sunlight reflected gentley off the generous fields of wild grasses creating a soft luminescent glow between the well manacure fairways. Bunkers filled with black volcanic sand added another dimension of color and magnificence to the golf course. The golf course I believe is a fair challenge for low and higher handicappers. I highly recommend that if you enjoy playing golf and if you are visiting Mauritius then Mont Choisy Le Golf should be on your to-do list.

The island of Ile aux Cerfs represents a unique "island" golfing experience surrounded by a shimmering turquoise lagoon. Bernhard Langer designed an 18-hole championship golf course of extraordinary concept and flawless execution that has been described as a 'wonder of the game'.
The course is extremely nice in an excellent location on an island, you go there by boat! Fairways are narrow and a lot of doglegs, that makes it challenging for the long shooters. Greens are in a superb condition. So I can say it is a must play course in Mauritius. Even if you are just a begginer the views to enjoy are unique. So pick up the ball and enjoy the view?

The Links Golf Course - Mauritius Date of birth: November 2002 DNA: Par 71, 5,942m in length - Second Constance Belle Mare Plage Championship Golf Course, still within the resort - Designed by Rodney Wright and Peter Allis opened in 2002 - Sitting beneath the clubhouse, it faces the setting sun - Equipped with a practice fairway, this 18-hole course is set in a location which seems to have been naturally created for the purpose - Owns its Golf Academy offering coaching on the course by professional and qualified instructors - Green fee free of charge for Constance Hotel's guests
I have visited Belle Mare Plage most years since 2004 and never seen both courses in better condition. Contrasting courses offer a perfect golf holiday in paradise. The same friendly faces at both courses and much improved practice facilities at the legend. Both courses have relaxed clubhouse and great facilities with panoramic views at The Links like a scene out of Africa and the unique Legend with deer roaming wild and the much improved and aptly named Deer Hunter restaurant. Hope to see you again soon and a big thank you to Sebastian, Jason and their teams for making us so welcome.

The most exciting golf experience in Mauritius Unforgettable is the only word to describe a round of golf on the course at Paradis. Set against the backdrop of majestic mountains, the fairways and greens curl along the shoreline of a spectacular bay. The claim that this is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Mauritius is a valid one. Built within the resort's grounds, the 18-hole Par 72 golf course stretches along 5,924 metres between the iconic Morne mountain and the crystal-clear lagoon of the Morne peninsula. Much of the creative design of the bunkers and fairways is attributable to international golf legend Tony Johnstone who has spent several years playing the course through its many evolutionary stages.
