The Hawaiian island of Maui is a destination for true nature lovers. The ethereal bamboo forest and churning waterfalls in Haleakala National Park can be explored via the Waimoku Falls Trail. Stretch out on warm, golden sands or hit the surf for an unforgettable windsurfing or snorkeling session. Driving the scenic road to Hana along the island’s northeastern shore will be among the most spectacular journeys of your life. Time stands still at the Hawaiian village of Keanae, definitely worth a visit.

Upcountry Farmers Market

Reviewed By Egalli11 - Riggins, United States

What an amazing start to our vacation! We arrived on Friday evening and noticed this farmers market open only on Saturdays so decided to make the drive upcountry from Kihei. It is such a great local farmers market with tons of variety! I would recommend that you walk through the entire market before purchasing if you are in no rush! We were able to sample many of the fruits and various butters and jams while we browsed. I ended up buying a beautiful bouquet of hawaiian flowers for our hotel room during our stay. The fruit is so fresh! My girls enjoyed a delicious coconut while we walked as well. Such a good experience and great way to shop local for your produce during your stay.

My, my, my~ I can't get enough of Palaloha Bikinis! We come to Maui for the winter every year. I wear my bikini in Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona, AND Hawaii. I wear them so much, I wear them out! But hey, that is a GOOD thing! Because then you can get a new one! Last night after dinner in Lahina my husband and I stopped at their store on Front Street. I had surfed in my three-year-old bikini that day and my bottoms wouldn't stay up! Time for a new suit! If you don't have one yet~ Get one! I am a 66 year old surfer girl!

A great local artist found on Front Street which should be a stop for anyone looking to support the community and bring back beautiful glass work for yourself or for gifts. I was drawn to the glass flowers which were delicately beautiful. Another option to shop small and shop local.

Wow! John, the photographer, is so fun and captures the mood of his subjects. The prices seemed high, but we did feel he took excellent pictures. We are thankful for their flexibility as we called early in the morning to make an appointment and were able to get our pictures taken the same day. The session included several settings and many options were available to us. Thank you!

While visiting The Shops at Wailea, we decided to participate in a ukulele lesson. Austin is a fabulous instructor. Within the one hour, he had all of us (most of which had never held the instrument before) playing 4 chord songs with proper technique. It was fun, educational, and a wonderful memory to have upon returning home. Highly recommend!
