This is a beautiful hike that includes two awesome waterfalls. There is a tiny parking lot that holds approx. 10 cars. It is at 716 S. Undermountain Rd; Sheffield, MA. The trail starts with an easy 0.2 mile walk from the parking lot to a fork. To the right of the fork is a fairly steep 0.3 mile hike to the "first falls". The last 0.1 mile gets a little confusing since some trees are down. Just keep going in approximately the same direction (or aim for the sound of the waterfall). It's a beautiful view of the waterfall from the bottom, or one can go a bit farther and climb some very difficult boulders to go higher. Starting back at the fork 0.2 miles from the parking lot, the left trail goes to the "upper falls". It is approx. 1.0 miles from the fork to the falls. It is a steep, bumpy hike, crossing the river a few times. After the first river crossing the trail makes a "U" turn to the left immediately after the crossing. After reaching the falls, one can continue approx. 0.5 miles to the campsite, then another 0.2 miles to the intersection with the Appalachian Trail (AT). It's a total of approx. 1.9 miles from the AT to the parking lot.

The falls are located in an old Indian fishing spot.
the community created this wonder exhibit when they exposed the glacier potholes in the down town area, very good photo op moment and romantic.

A popular spot for visitors, this scenic and dramatic 60-foot waterfall is located in Mount Washington State Forest.
Lovely short hike in and nice rocks to sit on and enjoy the falls. Autumn colours were delightful. This would be a good place to bring your lunch and stay a while.

Take a short walk to a scenic waterfall or the site of an historic mill.
Nice hike into see the falls and old mill site. The hike is easy enough for those out of shape. The falls are probably more impressive with the spring thaw then when we went.

Hike to the top of Pony Mountain, then cool off with a summertime dip in the chilly waters of the brook's picture-perfect pools and falls.

Descend a short streamside trail and get an up-close experience with a raucous series of plunging falls.
Nice waterfall that is probably much larger in the spring with the thaw. It is a short easy walk from the parking area.

Visit wild and rocky Glendale Brook and follow one of the state's highest and longest waterfalls as it plunges dramatically to the Westfield River.

During Covid-19 we are trying to do anything that involves outdoors! When we arrived the GPS sent us right to the entrance of the falls where it's private property and you can NOT park, but there is instructions right there saying to go down the street and park at the YMCA. From the parking lot there is signs to follow through a cute neighborhood that is a quick .3 mile walk that goes right to the entrance of the trail. I have done many hiking trails with my family and by FAR this is the EASIEST!!! It was well manicured and maintained 2 little bridges to pass over, beautiful sounds and sights to see going up the .7 mile trail to the enormous falls. It was not busy at all and people were for the most part polite and moved over as new groups came through. Definitely will go again and take nature in!
