Hi everybody! My business is about hand weaving scarves on a traditional looms. We use only natural materials (cotton, linen, wool, silk, cashemir) and also we use the natural dye in some scarves. From 2007 I started to do this handicraft who is inherited from my father and grandfather. At the first I stared in my father's shop near the photographi museum, and you can see the work on the loom directly, but now I moved to a new shop that is next to the Sacret Garden in a very nice location. And we can plan for a visit to my workshop who is not far from the shop, then you can wach the weaving process. Faissal
This is a must go to and very friendly shop. It is conveniently located next to Le Jardin Secret which should not be missed either! These scarves are woven on traditional looms using natural fibres and dyes and are exquisite and so reasonably priced. The quality of these scarves makes you want to stay and admire them all day. I treat myself, and usually a lucky friend too, each time I visit. With a huge range of colours and textures there really is something to suit anyone! A gem of a find!

Our local guide recommended this shop to us for place to find authentic silver. What we found was so much more than we expected. All the pieces were authentic, super unique, and many were antique. I'm not much of a shopper, but I freaking loved this place and my girlfriend bought out the place. I still treasure the necklace and earrings I bought there. Not only was the selection mind blowing, but the two sisters who helped us were lovely and charming and we had a great time chatting with them. They told us about their business philosophy - to pay fair prices to the people who bring jewelry to sell and to charge fair fixed prices to those who buy them. We did indeed find the prices fair and reasonable and appreciated the mental break from negotiating. I will be back for sure when I'm next Marrakech, both for the jewelry as well was the great experience there!

I was in Essaouira last week as part of a two week trip to Morocco. I love jewelry and it was so interesting to watch the artisians work and to understand better what is takes to make quality silver jewelry. My experience with the people working there was very memorable....I actually had another piece of silver jewelry I had purchased elsewhere in the country which was not made very well. My sweet sales person offered to have one of the silversmiths work on trying to fix it and they did that for me...no charge. We all had hugs afterward and it was a reminder of the general spirit of the Moroccon people And I love the earring and bracelet I purchaed at this shop. Don't miss it! And what a beautiful town.

Ex-Consulate of Italy, this riad has unique architectural features for the medina of Essaouira. A visit is required! Real Mogador offers exhibitions of both Moroccan and foreign artists. Said Ouarzaz, an artist of recognized talent (twice exhibited in Arab World Institut (Paris), King museum of Antwerp,... until Singapore & China), is there permanently: a retrospective of more than 100 paintings is in progress; this is THE EXHIBITION TO SEE in Essaouira. Regular performances are announced on Facebook (Francois.j.Real). Music is part of concept & place! Others artists (musicians, actors, writers,...) are often invited. Soon it will be possible to drink coffee, tea,... or eat home mad fresh salads, cakes,...
Le Real Mogador was the highlight of our visit to Essaouira! It is a stunning building with absolutely beautiful artwork. I went back 2 times within my stay. The owner is lovely and very willing to let us view the unique artwork. A very special experience!

We were staying inside the medina where the souk is located. Hence it was easy for us to walk around back to back to the souk. It is a large place and selling lots of stuff mostly local things. Cafes, spices, ceramics, carpets, leather, shoe, slippers, jewellery, argan oil, fruits, etc..You name it, Le Souk got it! Bargain is a must here and most people are friendly enough to give your prices.
