We visited over a year ago for the first time. We return just after lockdown to find this bar still alive and kicking. Great beer served perfectly, great banter with friendly locals - all served by a great host. All the social distancing and covid secure arrangements you could want. Has a great view of the beach, we will be back

What an absolute gem. Anyone who enjoys quirky and fine ale served by tremendous staff should go to Fez. Absolutely brilliant.

Imperial Lounge Margate is a great venue that opened in 2016. The modern look bar also has amazing views of the Margate harbour with great drinks selections, making Imperial Lounge Margate one of the best places in the old town to have a drink.

My last review was on 5th October 2018 so I thought it was time to refresh and give an up to date one in todays. It’s been an terrible year for all small businesses in general no more so then the “Laughing Barrel” however while in the lock down Mick and Alison have worked tirelessly in the back ground to refresh this amazing little micro pub in terms of decoration internal and external this as brought the venue up to a even higher standard than it was already and shows a massive commitment to our local community and Thanet in general. Thank you. Now this beautiful little micro pub is a fully Covid safe environment to still spend an enjoyable hour or two in your pod conforming to the government guide lines. Alway guaranteed at “Laughing Barrel” a friendly welcoming environment which allows you to relax in a safe way, the conversation is always lively, in my opinion the best micro pub anywhere in Kent.

Microbrewery and taproom bar with sunset views over the harbour. Craft beer brewed on site is served alongside guest beers from around the world. Kent wines and spirits, and a large selection of alcohol free drinks are also available. Child and dog friendly, outside food welcome. Large format games, Stu's ultimate quiz, and acoustic music nights are some of the events you can expect to see.
