“WeGreen” Koh Samui’s way of life, a cultural park, non-toxic vegetable farm and restaurant. This is the new tourist attraction on Koh Samui. And it’s the one and only located in Lamai now open for all of you to visit. Samui Cultural Park, Veggie Farm and Restaurant
This was the best part of the tour. Got to experience the many ways of using coconut; from the plucking of the coconut by a monkey, to dehusking the coconut, grating the coconut flesh, making of coconut caramel and kanom ko sugar dumpling with coconut. Experiencing the Samui culture and trying our hands at some of the stations made it very interactive and educational too. Not to mention the food tasting too. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through these few stations and would highly recommend to all. This was followed. Y a walk through the organic non toxic farm, ending with a healthy and yummy lunch at the restaurant. We were amazed at the effort placed in the freshness and quality of the food, right up to the presentation. Spotting the flowers and butterflies in the dishes brought a smile to our faces. The restaurant is open from 10.30am - 10pm. Can’t say how thrilled we are to have discovered this new kid on the block.

This is the real deal if you are up for an authentic Thai Theravada retreat. It's not easy: up before dawn to the sound of a temple bell, hard beds, no meals after lunch and monster mosquitoes (bring strong repellant). Simple and no frills whatsoever. Buttons will be pushed, but that's the whole point, find out what lies behind your buttons and you have a chance of disabling them forever. A retreat as demanding as this will be life changing for many. I was impressed with the mostly young people attending who gave it their all. If you are older, check that the short but steep climb to the meditation hall will be ok for you (help might be available). K. Reinhardt presented Buddhist teachings to us in an intelligently structured manner, the gentle team at Dipabhavan know what they are doing and they do it well. Lots of meditation time that enables a deep dig into the mind and its tricky ways :-) Something very special here, not least the fabulously lush jungly location!

The Orthodox Church of the Ascension in Koh Samui is located in a picturesque part of the island - the beach of Lamai. With the temple terraces overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. In the church held baptisms and weddings. Shrine Temple: holy relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow, Mary Magdalene, St. Sergius of Radonezh and Alexis Man of God, etc. Kikskaya icon of the Mother of God, brought from Cyprus, Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God, donated by the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III.
Prime religious experience if you are a Christian. Warm welcome by a small Russian Orthodox community headed by the parish priest Father Alexey. Sunday Divine Liturgy begins at 9 and takes at least two hours. The church is equally beautiful from the exterior, with its blue domes, and interior with nice and simple frescoes and divine icons. A very rewarding experience.

The second Buddha on the island with museum on the top with nice artifacts. One of the statues is in a square with a bunch of bells that you can ring. Overall our most exciting adventure on Koh Samui. Overall, a worthwhile destination, Independently it is better not to drive , only with experienced drivers.

Quite fun finding my way up, only for our car to be stopped half way on a steep hill because it could not go further... So, we had to detour and find a spot to park down the hill then make our way up by walking. Fortunate, myself and companion had runners brought anyway for such scenario, so walking up to the viewpoint was no difficulty- in fact, an exercise that we needed.. Arrived up there with small thb20 entrance fee, and the view was all worth it, especially the fact that we were the only group up there early in the morning. Would've been a spectacular sight to catch the sunrise if we made it earlier.. Still, the weather was great and the view was spectacular. We could see the red clay temple below and mainland visibly from up there. Very photogenic spot and viewpoint.

This is a serious attraction on Samui and people travel from far and wide to experience this thrilling ride over the spectacular jungle canopy below. It’s scary but totally safe. Everything looks so small down below from the high mountain retreat and you can see Lamai and its beautiful coastline in the distance. From the wooden terrace you can sit on comfortable chairs and relax over a coffee or drink to watch the colors of the sky and sea transform into warm lilacs and reds as the sun sets. It’s a wonderful time of day to be up here and totally unforgettable.
Scenic & panoramic view for nature lovers... really love it...u shall try a 10 minutes ride classic cable car setup- please avoid this for those who have phobia of height ????...
