In the chic, sun-drenched Costa del Sol town of Marbella, hints of its former Moorish occupation mingle with modern-day resort amenities. Bask on the sands of famous La Fontanilla beach or ricochet among the area's family-oriented water, wildlife and theme parks. Experience the Andalusian charm of the historic quarter, filled with whitewashed buildings, remnants of a ninth-century Arab fortress and fragrant orange trees. End a relaxing day with a dish of the cold almond soup ajoblanco and some of the region's excellent dessert wine.

Cabo Pino beach is excellent as they have a super boardwalk behind the ruins that runs forever. Nice to run on!

What a fantastic time of year to visit for flora, fauna and wild life. I saw bunnies, bees, birds and lizards without leaving the path. The boardwalk crosses the dunes behind Cabopino/Artola ‘Nudista playa’ so be prepared for the occasional distant view of a nudist popping up in ‘Meerkat’ fashion to get an all over tan!

This is one of the main beaches in the middle of Marbella center of town. There are lots of chiringuitos that rent sundbeds for reasonable prices; you can have lunch or dinner with your feet in the sand. The beach is sandy not rocky. The chiringuitos are basic, not fancy, but the food is very good especially if you stick to the basics: paella, barbecued fish on a skewer, fried seafood for sharing.. Fontanilla beach is steps from Sunny Corner Marbella beach apartment which is a great place to stay to enjoy a week on this fantastic beach.

Fab beach, great sun loungers with big cushions, so comfortable. Great music vibes! No stones to get in the water! Just the perfect place to wile away the day in the sunshine. The restaurant Levante is divine for lunch! Heaven on earth!
