There are four different routes across the city with buses coming every few minutes and it is certainly a much better option for getting around the city than the hop on, hop off bus. We hopped off the monorail and caught the red line to Central Station as we wanted to go to the National Museum which was just across the main road outside the station. Along the way we encountered locals going about their shopping and using the buses to travel home and through local neighbourhoods which are vastly different to the tourist area around the Petronas Towers. Lived it.

KLIA Ekpres is one the government's best initiative! It is so convenient to get to the city from the airport in this. I would recommend you get a return trip ticket, if you need to use it once more when you get back to the airport (KLIA), so that you can save RM5. The return ticket date is flexible. If you take Malaysian Airlines, you can also check in your luggage at the KLIA ekspres station, and it transports your luggage to the airport for you, so you can get onto the train with less baggage hassle! Wonderful service, indeed!!!

I have been using the Sungai Buloh to Kajang MRT train for about 14 months now to get from my house in Damansara Heights (near Semantan Station) to my office in central KL (near Bukit Bintang station). It is fast, clean, reliable and during rush hours runs every 4 minutes, it is also less crowded than the other LRT / MRT lines in KL. A trip from Semantan to Bukit Bintang takes about 10-15mins & cost RM 2.40 each way. Facility wise Sematan Station has 7-11 and Roti Boy outlets. There is no parking facility at the station although there is a large car park a short distance away which is serviced by a free shuttle bus service. There are clean washroom facilities at all stations. The journey is partly underground & partly above ground (indeed elevated - with great views). First train is about 6:30am (I think) whilst the last train at night is 11:30pm. A highly recommended commuter train service (apart from when it is raining !!!!)

Hi there backpackers, another cheap and fast airport shuttle. Take LRT train from nearest station and airport shuttle at Putra Heights with cost RM10 only. Spacious and comfortable waiting area. Friendly and reliable staff. Less traffic and you'll reach airport within 40minutes. However at this moment it does not operate 24 hours. Please help to spread out so that they would be able to extend the shuttle hour as well as continue this convenient service.

Go there from KL sentral entering Nu Sentral and you will know the signage to Monorel... it’s quite hectic on peak hour.. if you want to go to Berjaya Times Square , you can take monorel to Imbi Station

This is a LRT train station located right next to all the tourist attractions like China town, central market, Sri mahamariamman temple, Sin sze si ya temple etc. It is also directly connected to the MRT station and next to it is the bus stand where you can access the free GoKL bus as well as RapidKL buses. Also most of the budget hotels and hostels are located around this LRT station. It is also a place to shop for souvenirs and cheap knock offs.

A high speed railway connectivity between KL Airport (both KLIA1, KLIA2) and KL City - KL Sentral station. Unlike KL Express, the KL Transit has few intermediate stoppages like Putrajaya. It is a very convenient and hassle-free mode of transportation with you luggage and also minimizes the travel time and independent of traffic while travelling between KL city and KL airport. The trains are very comfortable and the railway personnel are very helpful. One may use the KLIA Transit to transfer between KLIA1 and KLIA2 terminals.

I use this line frequently because it is prompt, clean, and efficient, with passengers behaving civic-mindedly. Additional coaches are provided during peak hours so that waiting periods are short. All coaches have seating for wheelchairs and prams, and priority seating for the elderly or infirm. Stations have security stewards standing by, and ticket kiosks function for long-enough hours. Feeder busses to and from stations provide car drivers with options to park outside the stations too.
