Our guide brought us here to wrap up our full day Paine tour, and it was the perfect way to end the day. Magnificent views toward Cuernos del Paine from a small hill at the lookout, and if you pack a snack or beverage you're able to enjoy it in one of the camp shelters nearby after.

We are based out of Puerto Natales in southern Chile, where we are blessed with abundant opportunities to pursue our passion for everything related to nature. In turn, our philosophy is centered not only highly customized, client-centered service, but also in exposing clients to the beauty of the great outdoors. We welcome people who want an unforgettable fly fishing experience in a truly special and natural environment. To maintain that standard for every client, we offer only a limited number of daily trips and match each to their needs.
My wife and I are active travelers doing activities like fly-fishing, hiking and birding, that bring us to visit some of the nicest natural places in the world. Ben Vial just did that for us. We have been fishing in Canada, the Caribbean, Louisiana, Florida and many places in Patagonia, but the place where Ben took us is surely one of the nicest places we have fished. We visited a private Estancia that has everything: The real mood and soul of Patagonia, a fantastic scenery with the mountains of Torres del Paine in the background and the hard-to-beat feeling that you are the only ones fishing there. In addition to this, Ben truly cares about providing you a nice fishing experience and getting few big brown trouts on your line is certainly a wonderful bonus on any fishing day. We did two days and the second day, I went alone with Ben because we had a wind blowing at 60 km per hour. Ben did the right thing by bringing me on the same river but in a canyon between two mountains. A totally different experience where the fishing becomes hunting. In the afternoon, I got few fishes on a dry fly with a strong blowing wind that makes you feel proud of yourself when you hook something. Ben is a very pleasant host and guide and his mid-day lunch is great. It is worth saying that his wife, Antonietta, is offering a very nice airbnb apartment near their house - a great package when put together. They are very welcoming people and make you feel more like friends rather than customers.

Salto Grande is an absolutely beautiful waterfall in Torres Del Paine National Park. Viewed it from a distance from a viewpoint to utmost satisfaction. Certainly would very highly recommend viewing it.

Cruising the strait of Magellan was a great experience, as I didn't really expect it to be as wide as it was. What also surprised me a bit was the number of bulk carriers that still use this waterway, as I was under the impression that all went via the Panama Canal. Despite the very windy conditions, loved it.

Antarctica21 (formerly ANTARCTICA XXI) is the word's leading provider of Antarctic Air-Cruises, wilderness travel experiences that combine a flight between Chile and Antarctica with an adventurous expedition cruise along the Antarctic Peninsula. The Company pioneered the innovative Antarctic Air-Cruise model in 2003. It offers travallers three main advantages: Comfort, by avoiding the 2-day journey across the stormy water of the Drake Passage; Speed, by taking clients quickly and efficiently to their destination; and Style, by offering only small-ship boutique expeditions limited to maximum 71 participants.
Unlike more conventional expeditions to Antarctica which leave South America by ship and take two days each way to cross the roughest seas in the world, Antarctica21 flies you there in two hours, giving you more time on target and fewer hours of seasickness. But...it's a wilderness, not for the faint of heart or the casual tourist. You must be in good shape and prepared to walk significant distances on rough and sometimes hilly terrain. Seas can be rough even along the coast. There are no paved streets, no sidewalks, no docks. You walk about a mile to the beach, put on your flotation vest, and make your first beach extraction by Zodiac boat to go the ship. Each day there is a morning and afternoon excursion to a point of interest in Antarctica, which makes for a total of 14 beach landings and extractions by Zodiac over the course of the week. The ship is by no means spartan, but there are no shops, no night clubs, no theatres, no swimming pool, no casinos. There is a comfortable dining room, a comfortable lounge, and a comfortable meeting room that accommodates the roughly 70 passengers. Rooms are well appointed and service is good. The expedition crew is young, athletic, and enthusiastic. The focus is on the continent. Views are breathtaking. Zip among icebergs in a Zodiac, snowshoe up mountains, take the Polar Plunge in 0°C water or kayak in a warm-water volcanic caldera—it's all amazing. Photo opportunities are endless. This is an experience you will talk about for years.

If you are anywhere near this cascade, take the time for a visit. The place is simply awesome. The rock formation causing the cascades is very unusual. Without even realizing it, you will take far more photographs than you expected to take. Take time to wander along the sore (the walking is easy) to get different perspectives on the cascades..
