So many of Madrid’s buildings look like castles, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Even City Hall is astounding, with its white pinnacles and neo-Gothic features. A self-guided architecture tour can begin by the great bear statue in the central Puerta del Sol. Wander by the fanciful Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty of Retiro Park, then visit one of the city’s many museums. You could happily cap off each day by nibbling on forkfuls of paella while sipping Spanish rioja.

Madrid & Darracott is a friendly English/Spanish wine shop and tasting space in the heart of Madrid. We offer daytime and evening tastings at difference prices as well as private winery visits in the Madrid area.
Luke and Roque have made the lookdown period so much more bearable with their online wine tastings. They even made the trouble to send me wine to Portugal. The boxes have been a great mix and have made me try wines that I probably wouldn't have experienced otherwise. Their knowledge about everything wine; grapes, regions, history and food pairings is obvious. All talked about in a fun and relaxed way. Next time I'll visit Madrid a "real life" wine tasting at Madrid & Darracottwill be my priority. Susanne

This is a fantastic wine bar with friendly service, very knowledgeable, and a great mix of a crowd. We stayed here so much longer than we thought we would because we were really enjoying the company and especially the wine. They also have some amazing looking food; will come back to eat soon. Brilliant!!
