The White Church is a unique building just a couple of minutes from Granny's Bay, Fairhaven Lake and the RSPB shop. The Church was formed as Fairhaven started to grow in the early 1900's and the at Lytham saw the potential for setting up a new Church in the area and on 4th May 1904, Fairhaven Congregational Church (now Fairhaven URC) was opened in what is now the Church Hall. Fund raising continued and gradually work progressed on the main Church Building, known locally as the 'White Church' because of the white faced tiles used in it's construction and the grand opening was held on 17th October 1912. The Church is Byzantine in style and attracts many visitors who come to admire the building and its beautiful windows. The Church is open to visitors Thursday and Sunday afternoons; you can also visit the Church during the Thursday morning Coffee morning that starts at 10.30 am (the bacon barms are highly recommended) and, of course, you're also very welcome to join us for Sunday morning worship starting at 10.45 am.
Well worth a visit to see the remarkable stained glass. The congregation were friendly, but elderly. They are in the catch 22 position of wanting to attract young people, but being unable to offer much to attract them until some young people attend.

Lytham Hall is a Grade I listed Georgian country house, walking distance from Lytham town centre. It is situated in 78 acres of historic parkland. Visits to Hall, parkland and tea room are possible.
Would highly recommend visiting Lytham Hall. Both the tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful, tea room had good selection of snacks and sandwiches and parkland has lovely walks. Would certainly visit again.

This magnificent First World War memorial was erected in 1924 by Lord Ashton. It carries the names of local men who died with additional plaques for later conflicts. The memorial is particularly noted for for high quality and poignant depictions in the form of a shell-shocked soldier and a grieving widow, together with detailed chronological reliefs, by notable sculptor Walter Marsden as well as rare depictions of a shell-shocked soldier, a grieving widow, wounded and gassed soldiers and women both on active service and on the Home Front. Located in beautiful gardens it is a treasure to behold.

This excellent memorial commemorates the death of 13 lifeboatmen from St Annes who were lost in the attempt to rescue the crew of the German barque Mexico that had been driven into a sandbank in a gale in December 1886. The lifeboat from Southport also lost 14 of its 16 man crew in the disaster. The monument depicts a lifeboatman looking out to sea and standing on a rock-like plinth. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The only issue that I had with it is that the toilets are now located right next to it which I thought was a bit disrespectful.
