A bit of history ... The Hot Club was founded in 1948 by a handful of students of Fine Arts, crazy Jazz and Be-Bop, newly arrived on the continent. They were unaware that the Hot Club de Lyon, "fruit of passion" would become over time the Jazz center in the Rhone-Alpes region. Great musicians have made the reputation of this club Peninsula. Duke Ellington, Honorary President, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Dizzi Gillespie, Art Blakey, Boris Vian, Joe Henderson, Chet Baker, Dave Liebman, John Scofield and many others rocked the roof of this magnificent vault. Today, thanks to a succession of passionate volunteers, the Hot Club de Lyon has become a springboard for young musicians from conservatories and music schools in Rhone-Alpes. It is also an absolute must for experienced jazzmen, French or foreign, always well received. The Hot Club of Lyon, mythical place of jazz culture, promotes the creation, expression and dissemination of this music in all its forms: New Orleans, Be-Bop, Manouche, Modern, Fusion, Latinos, Vocal, Swing, Big Band, Electro, Current ... So, if you are not yet come, let yourself be surprised by the power of the agreements and the velvety notes. Take the stairs HOT CLUB DE LYON and discover this enchanting music.
