Lyme Regis /ˌlaɪmˈriːdʒɪs/ is a town in West Dorset, England, 25 miles (40 km) west of Dorchester and 25 miles (40 km) east of Exeter. It lies at Lyme Bay on the English Channel coast at the Dorset–Devon border. It is nicknamed "The Pearl of Dorset". It is noted for fossils found in cliffs and beaches that are part of the Heritage Coast—known commercially as the Jurassic Coast—a World Heritage Site. The harbour wall known as "The Cobb" appears in Jane Austen's novel Persuasion, in the John Fowles novel The French Lieutenant's Woman, and in the 1981 film of the same name, which was partly shot in Lyme Regis. Its one-time mayor and MP was Admiral Sir George Somers, who founded the English colonial settlement of the Somers Isles, now known as Bermuda. Lyme Regis is twinned with St George's, Bermuda. In July 2015 Lyme Regis also became "tripled" with Jamestown, Virginia, as the Historic Atlantic Triangle of Lyme, St George's and Jamestown. The 2011 Census gave the parish and electoral ward a population of 3,671.

This lovely shop is dog friendly and very welcoming. I have been here several times as it is on the list of places we always visit when in Lyme Regis. They have some lovely jewellery and fossils. It’s well laid out with plenty room. They have lots of books and information for fossil hunters of all sizes.

This is the home of the Alice's Bear Shop story books. You can often find the Author and illustrator Rikey Austin working on her next project or meet some of the real life characters from the books. Come visit the Teddy Bears and Dolls in the Teddy Bear Hospital. If you have time they'd just love a get well soon card. We also have a lovely selection of vintage and collectable bears as well as many lovely rag doll and bear making kits.
Completely restored my boyfriend's bear, and communicated really nicely with me along the way even though it was during lockdown 2 of Covid. Was a bit pricey but completely worth it for the time and detail they put in, please do see the pictures. Note; they were asked not to wash the original material or restore the ears for personal reasons. Special thanks to Wendy for the 5* communication.

Pug & Puffin is a wonderful shop, lots of beautiful things inside, I always come away with a bag of goodies for myself and gifts for others! Great choice of gifts for dogs and their owners! The artwork is all by the owners, the greetings cards are lovely and if you’re lucky, Noah the pug may be in residence! He’s gorgeous! Friendly and helpful staff, they also have a shop in Bath which I am definitely going to visit!

And I was not disappointed. It is a strange but fascinating shop. It appears to be a shambles and you have to pick your way through an eclectic mixture of items but you soon realise that there is order in what appears to be chaos. I defy anyone not to find a book or two of interest here. The owner, once you start speaking to him is very helpful and informative and is very much part of the character of the shop.

What a warm welcome awaits visitors to this RNLI shop! It is very well stocked with a wide range of current merchandise. The volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable and great ambassadors for the RNLI charity. Keep up the good!

Come and meet the potters Berey, Don and Harry making their own work in a variety of techniques, clays and glazes, in their fabulous old workshop. They are all happy to explain what they are doing. They mostly make domestic ware. Occasionally they offer 'throw a pot' sessions, where visitors can try their hand at the potter's wheel. There is a display and sales area to make purchases.
