There is an amazing view when crossing this bridge. It is a must seen place in Luxembourg. It is a history place that remind the old fort of Luxembourg. You can climb on spiral stairs not spending too many efforts.

This Old Town is picture perfect. Loaded with history and culture, cafes and restaurants. It is not to be missed. I recommend locating your hotel in this area, that way you are in the center of the best.

My wife and I stumbled across this place by accident and realized instantly that while everyone sees the Allies cemetery and memorials the vanquished rarely get remembered. What a stark difference, while the Allies memorials are light and bright, this place is dark and foreboding. The soldiers here were often placed in graves with others and the entire setting is DARK. A very different view of the memorials of war.

We visited Luxembourg for the first time with our 22 year old son, who was going to a wedding on Sunday. We had a full day free on Saturday and having spent a comfortable night at Legere hotel we intended getting the bus into the City centre. Sadly it was torrential rain and we took the car and got free parking at Glacis Boulevard de la Foire. We headed on foot to The Grund which was a lovely walk, took a few photos but we could have spent ages there. Amazing views, we took the free lift back, which saved a walk.
