The Baroque "Favorite Palace" in Ludwigsburg, which once served Duke Eberhard Ludwig as a summer residence and hunting Palace, boasts fully preserved Neoclassical interiors. Favorite palace is set in a beautiful landscape, the palace's former game preserve. Due to rennovations the Favorite Palace will be closed until December 2019.
This place is magical. This castle is surrounded by a beautiful, breathless garden with animals such as deers, squirrels and ducks. The garden made us feel calm, composed and in the moment. Inside this castle has so much history, from dancing room to bedroom to the little cabinet rooms. I would like to give special appreciation to Cynthia. We had questions and she took time to explain some of the history to us. From her explanation, I learned so much about this castle. For that, I am very grateful! Because without her, we wouldn't even know anything about this castle. Take you, Cynthia, for taking us back to history, for taking us back in time. With her, we relive the castle history. Highly suggest you visit this place and don't forget to walk around the garden!

Wonderful Christmas market just 20 minutes from the centre of Stuttgart. Plenty of variety in the stalls. Great food and drink options. Everyone really friendly.

This wonderful park around the Ludwigsburg castle is a sight to see at any time of the year, but when the carved pumpkins are on display it is a must-see.
