My wife and I recently spent 4 days at LaDausse with several friends, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful experience of southwestern France off the beaten path. Eric and Diane Anthonissen were exceptional hosts who not only made sure we were comfortably taken care of, but also arranged interesting day trips around this fascinating area of the bastides. I highly recommend the day tour to the Paleolithic cave and museum at Ruffingnac, with incredible cave art. Diane is a wonderful Parissien trained chef who conducted a cooking class in which we prepared our evening feast, and also prepared delicious meals for us as well. Eric is a knowledgeable wine guide, and history buff concerning the region, who took us to visit wineries in the region. The chateau itself is a beautifully renovated 300 year old mansion perched on a hill near the picturesque hill village of Monflanquin, one of many beautiful villages within easy driving distance. Everyone in our party was delighted with their visit. Highly recommended!

Cave du Marmandais’s winegrowers are ambassadors of the “Made in Sud-Ouest” way of life. Their culture expresses itself through warmth, festivities and gastronomy. Our singing accent is a trademark that reveals the personality of the people and wines from our terroir. The vineyards of the Côtes du Marmandais appellation cover both riversides of the Garonne. This is how the Côtes du Marmandais acquire their rare qualities from a unique, complementary and exceptional terroir. They have also their one singularly grape variety : Abouriou.

our vineyard is open all year long to welcome visitors who love or want to discover the way to make a beautifull wine. We work on an organic way. The visitors can visit the cellar of vinification, the cellar of oak barrel, the different plots. A selection of our wines are tasted in the Arena which is a beautifull building brand new dedicated to the wine culture of Duras.
