Hollywood beckons to tourists who long for a brush with Tinseltown glamor. Tour movie studios, slip your hands into the famous prints at the TCL Chinese Theatre, or indulge in a celeb sighting at one of LA’s white-hot nightspots. Spot your favorite star while shopping at The Grove, or forget all about the famous eye candy as you take in the iconic artwork at The Getty Center. For a different type of star-gazing, peek through the telescopes at the Griffith Observatory.

Being a Dodger's fan my wife and i were eager to check out the Stadium with a Stadium tour. For only 20 dollars per person, you get a fabulous deal. Our very knowledgeable guide led us on a very fascinating tour, into the press box, where you could almost hear Vin Scully, through to the locker rooms, the dugout, onto the field. You could look up and imagine what it's like, with a full house packing the stadium. We saw a great collection of Dodger memorabilia, reproductions of tickets to the stadium (25 cents for a bleacher seat!!), gold gloves, and a whole slew of other great memories. A must see for you Dodger fans, and even if you aren't, it's a great look inside the third oldest stadium in the major leagues.

Had the distinct pleasure of taking in a Kings hockey game while in LA last weekend. As a first time visitor to the Staples Center, I was impressed. Seating was comfortable, admission was smooth and professionally handled. There were plenty of venues for food and drink. A great time was had by all!

Home to the USC football team since 1923, and a designated National Historic Landmark, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has the most diverse and all encompassing history of any stadium in the world. It has hosted two Super Bowls (I and VII), a World Series (1959), and two Olympiads (X and XXIII). Along with the adjacent Sports Arena, which closed its doors in 2016, the Coliseum is credited with helping to start the migration of professional sports teams to the West Coast. The complex provided a home for the Rams (1946-79, returning again in 2016), the Dodgers (1958-61), and the Lakers (1960-67), and has also been home to a variety of Southern California teams, including: the Raiders (1982-94), UCLA Football (1933-81), the Chargers (1960), Clippers (1984-99), USC Basketball (1959-2006), UCLA Basketball (1959-65), the Cobras (1988, Arena Football), Ice Dogs (1995-96, IHL), Sharks (1972-74, WHA), Stars (1968-70, ABA) and Kings (1967, NHL). The Coliseum has also welcomed a wide range of diverse and legendary events, such as entertainer Evel Knievel (1973), a Papal Mass by Pope John Paul II (1987), Nelson Mandela’s “Crusade against Apartheid” (1990), visits from several U.S. Presidents (FDR, JFK, and Reagan, to name a few), and endless sold-out concerts from such iconic artists as Pink Floyd, U2, The Who, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, and many more. Come find out why we are known as the "Greatest Stadium in the World"!
It’s probably the last time I will see the Rams at their original home. At the end of 2020 they move to play at their brand new multi-billion dollar home in Inglewood. Where the sound of “Whose house is this...? RAMS HOUSE!!!” will be a chant that makes absolute sense. Built as a memorial to veterans of the First World War in 1921; it will get the opportunity to do what it was designed to one more time in 2028... to host a Summer Olympics. I went along on a beautiful LA Winter’s evening to see the Rams take on the Ravens. Not the result we hoped for. The Ravens looked unstoppable all evening and the Rams were effectively out of play off contention by the end of the evening. But the atmosphere was superb nevertheless and the $14 cans of beer were being washed down in healthy quantities before those cans are recycled and turned into RSJ joints for Inglewood’s new retractable root. Los Angeles Tycoonary at it’s beautiful, lovely, American Dream best. Everyone coming together with smiles on their faces to see a quality of show that only Americans know how to host. Aloe Blacc put on a superb half time show and despite the result already sliding away; the crowd were on the feet with premium beer in hand. The chilli dogs were superb and made out of pure premium 100% beef. They were half the price of the can of beer so I guess everything evened itself out... apart from Jared Goff still hasn’t married me. See you in Inglewood... shout it loud and proud: “RAMS HOUSE!!”... Howay the Lads and we are Geordies!! See you soon Los Angeles or should I say (Geordie Shore)...

I stumbled across LA Live on my walk into Downtown and wow - the energy was amazing! I was there during Christmas, so having the ice skating rink and huge christmas trees was truly magical. There's many restaurants, bars and local street entertainment around

What a perfect size Stadium for a concert. Facilities were spectacular. Plenty of restrooms, great vendors, nice acoustics. My friends and I really enjoyed the concert and the setting. Easy to get to on the train and very friendly people.
