Things to do in London, England: The Best Tours

May 19, 2022 Nicolette Lion

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

We had such a great trip. Phil and Phil were the perfect double act! Phil no 1 was funny and knowledgeable and read our party well. Phil no2 made sure we had thrills and bumps aplenty. We laughed all the way - even through the hail storm! And 3 stroppy teens are not the easiest to please. Oh and the birthday singing and the goggles for our eyes were much appreciated too! Thanks Thames Rockets - it was fab!

We did the Little Venice to Camden Locks route. Very informative, the host pointed out all the points of interest about the canal, and the famous people's home just go past. Very relaxing way to see a lovely peaceful part of the City. Plus a great place to finish at Camden to get some lovely street food and a cold beer. Recommended 100%

My sister and I paid for this experience for my dads 60th birthday back in February. Our walk was on the 15th May, and we had Max as our guide- he was absolutely brilliant! Super friendly, really knowledgeable and good fun. Max also did a great job at putting our minds at ease, whilst making the experience a laugh for all. We also managed to dodge the rainstorm that was coming in, which is a bonus :) The experience as a whole was fantastic start to end, and we would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!

Perla was brilliant and right from the start was very welcoming of everyone who attended. She was enthusiastic and the compilation of the visuals was very relevant. She told great stories and kept the whole event alive and vibrant throughout. I learned a lot and Perla also gave some great recommendations for films to watch that related to the topic.

Absolutely perfect experience. From the minute we arrived we were warmly welcomed and treated like royalty. A lovely, beautiful trundle along the river was elevated by Skipper Nick’s humour and knowledge. The picnic was also delicious with a wide selection- we were both stuffed after! The stop at the pub was also a nice addition. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more and will most definitely be recommending to friends and family
