The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Modern Society was born through a series of pop-up stores in 2013. We wanted to offer diversified shopping experience, creative inspiration and to connect with those that share the same vision with us. Today our goal remains the same. In 2015, we opened the doors to our flagship store in Shoreditch, London. In this space we work across different mediums from fashion and photography to hospitality.

London’s oldest supplier of goods for the living, dead and undead. From Fang Floss to Thickest Human Snot, Brain Jam to Impacted Earwax, we cater for the everyday needs of monsters of any kind. Humans welcome (at their own risk). We were recently voted 'No. 1 Kids' Shop in London' by Time Out Magazine. Which is strange, as we're evidently a shop for monsters. Due to a rather inconvenient curse, all profits go to the Ministry of Stories, a creative writing and mentoring charity for young humans, hidden behind our secret door.
The Borough of Hackney has a rich history as the "wrong side of the tracks," stinky side of the river, and hunting grounds of Jack the Ripper. But now that Hackney, including Shoreditch and Hoxton, is all up and coming, full of hipster bars and the poshest restaurants, we thought that would make it a great place for our family to spend the summer of 2019. We found ourselves tremendously out of place what with having children and a dog, and spent most of our time at the Hoxton Library, which is where we got involved with a phenomenal writing program about outer space led by Laila at the nearby Hoxton Street Monster Supplies-affiliated Ministry of Stories! The next session was on the theme of Refugees, it was held in the secret classroom behind the very walls of the Monster Supply shop, and culminated in a final performance in an actual Theatre! To this day even since moving away, HSMS remains where we love purchasing our friends and cousins bars of Earwax, and cans of Farts and Fear; we've been back regularly with visitors in tow, or to stock up for party favors, stocking stuffers, etc. Can't recommend this gem highly enough!

Dinerama is BACK and if you haven't made it down yet here's what you're missing - Six street diners, six bars, five street food shacks, two trucks, one DJ and a MILLION twinkling LEDs. Open for the rest of the summer four days a week every Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun from noon till late.
I spent a great evening with my pals here! There are many food stands and bars (with so many alcohol choices, from wines & beers to gins). All the street food is fantastic, especially the halloumi fries served with halloumi pita and fig jam. I'll definitely recommend the place to all my friends going to or living in London!

Urban Food Fest street food and bar night markets take place at the Euro Car Parks Shoreditch, London. Every Urban Food Fest market features 15 street food trucks and stalls that change each week. Global gourmet street food is served alongside a premium bar and cocktail bar with craft beers, cider, Urban cocktails, international wines, prosecco, plus live music and seating.
If you’re a foodie, you’re definitely going to want to give the Urban Food Fest a visit! There’s always such a great atmosphere there with music, lots of stalls and activities around. Of course, the food is brilliant too, I am always amazed at the selection of cuisines and love trying something new each time I pop round... so far, the Halloumi burger and bubble waffles are definitely a fav! It’s great for anyone with dietary requirements too, I’ve noticed a lot of the stalls have vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options and are happy to cater to any allergies. Apart from food, there’s a great selection of drinks available with some delicious cocktails! Looking forward to my next visit!
