The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Still very much a working meat market. We visited as part of a walking tour in the area. Get there before 10.00 if you want to see the meat sellers in action. Great architecture. Recommended if in the area.

I worked close to Exmouth Market back in the 60's, it was a bustling street market in those days mainly fruit and veg and it was the heart of the local community. Little has changed in that respect it is still the heart of the local community but the street fruit and veg stalls have been replaced by so many bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. It now has a vibrant and exciting night life as well as an interesting visit for lunch. Well worth a visit or two.
