The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

My daughter surprised us with tickets to see this musical when we were in London to see her and family for the holidays. Having read a little about the play before and being familiar (as an outsider can get) with the Mormon religion, and very familiar with the "South Park" (which is a real town in Colorado, about 60 miles from where I live in Pueblo) guy's work, I was curious how this play could be executed. OMG. Live music, singing, dancing, comedy, and a plot with twists and turns...and laugh out loud funny. It was Thursday and the place looked to be sold out. No wonder. This is a quality production with very talented actors. I am so glad I got to see it. Side note: since the Mormon Church is an indigenous US religion, I was curious if any in the audience even knew what it is? Upon trying to raise this topic during intermission with a lady (who turned out to be from Germany), she asked how many Mormons are there. I had my daughter look it up on her phone. When I told here 16 1/2 million worldwide, she was absolutely stunned. Too funny! Also funny that I saw a Mormon Church across the street from the British Natural History Musueum. Like they said in the play: "It is a Latter Day!"

The West End’s most celebrated show is now winner of the 2015 Olivier Award for BEST NEW MUSICAL. SUNNY AFTERNOON also won Oliviers for Best Actor (John Dagliesh), Best Supporting Actor (George Maguire), and Outstanding Achievement in Music (Ray Davies). With Music and Lyrics by Ray Davies, a new Book by Joe Penhall and Direction by Edward Hall, SUNNY AFTERNOON depicts the rise to stardom of THE KINKS. Set against the back-drop of a Britain caught mid-swing between the conservative 50s and riotous 60s, this production explores the euphoric highs and agonising lows of one of Britain’s most iconic bands and the irresistible music that influenced generations. THE KINKS exploded onto the 60’s music scene with a raw, energetic new sound that rocked a nation. But how did that happen, where exactly did they come from and what happened next? This ‘Great British Musical’ (The Times) features many of the band’s hits, including: YOU REALLY GOT ME, WATERLOO SUNSET, DEDICATED FOLLOWER OF FASHION, ALL DAY AND ALL OF THE NIGHT, LOLA, SUNNY AFTERNOON and many more.
I fell in love with Ray Davies all over again! Fantastic music of the time. Would go to see it again in a heartbeat

Fantastic musical homage to Only Fools And Horses! The whole cast was superbly selected, especially Ryan Hutton who plays Rodney, who for me stole the show as he put on a remarkable performance in this role, Nicholas Lyndhurst himself could do no better - a truly great performance! The music is great, some really funny songs with catchy tunes. The set design is very impressive and worked really well to recreate the familiar atmosphere of the environments from the TV series whilst functioning very effectively and seamlessly for scene changes on stage. All around I would whole heartedly recommend this to all regardless of whether you've seen the TV series or not. Fantastic!

We went to the Saturday matinee and the theatre was full and the atmosphere was buzzing. The whole cast are very good with great singing and dancing and plenty of laughs. However, in my opinion the stand out routine of the show is when Bonnie Langford as the secretary is trying to seduce David Hasselhoff as Mr Hart her boss, ending up looking very impressive in her stockings and suspenders Bonnie was amazing and the audience adored it! For Dolly Parton fans, musicals fans and a great feel good factor this show is a winner and definitely one to recommend.
