Things to do in London, England: The Best Fun Activities & Games

November 8, 2021 Elouise Mccaul

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Bad Moon Cafe

London's best gaming venue with great gaming tables, a board game library, food, drink and a large stock of Games Workshop and other products.

Reviewed By Jennwrennifer - Leicester, United Kingdom

I absolutely love Bad Moon Cafe, and usually go there at least once a week to play RPGs. They have delicious food and coffee, all excellently priced for London. The pizza (including vegan options!) is absolutely delicious. In terms of facilities they have a huge board game library, massive gaming tables with lots of space for your board game, figurines, dice etc. It's light and airy, with good heating in the winter and lots of fans in the summer! I DM here most weeks and there's always space for a screen, two folders, my notes alongside 6 players around the table. I also sometimes come here to write during the daytime, and it's a really good place to focus and work. There's a wonderful community of people that visit regularly, and I can genuinely say that (having lived in London 3 years) this is the place that started to make me feel at home!

The London Bridge Experience

The London Bridge Experience, crowned ‘Best Guided Tour’ & London Tombs, crowned ‘Top Horror Attraction in the World!’ is a two-part immersive show, bringing together history and horror, education and fun. Guests laugh, scream and cheer their way through 2,000 years of history during the London Bridge Experience, then go down in to the vaults of the bridge [if they dare], known as London Tombs, which is a psychological scare-maze themed upon everyone's worse fears! Winner of the UK’s scariest attraction for 9 years in a row, the Tombs part of the show is not for the faint hearted!

Kino Bermondsey

A stylish 48-seat independent cinema showing the latest films, with a cafe-bar and terrace.

Reviewed By nicolabW4874PO - Bristol, United Kingdom

This was a surprise trip in several ways. It was a last minute decision when visiting a relative in London. A film I wouldn’t have chosen to see - Spielberg’s Ready Player 1 but actually enjoyed. A cinema that was unlike any I had been in before. A wide auditorium with about 6 rows of red seats. There were only five people in that night but we stayed in our allocated seats. I am used to big cinemas so it took some getting used to but the sound around was very effective for this film. There is a bar and eaterie but we didn’t partake as we were going on somewhere after. The staff were very welcoming as soon as we walked through the door and it seemed a cosy place to meet friends and have a drink. There is outdoor seating but it was a cold, windy and rainy night so no one was out there. It is in a square near a hotel so I would imagine it would be quite a buzzy place to be on a summer’s night
