The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

I came here with high expectations as I'd heard many great things about the Sunday Roast. I'm pleased to say that I was not disappointed. The welcome was warm and the staff were attentive. The place filled up quickly and the atmosphere was warm. My plate was piled high, with the lamb not too pink with delicious light homemade gravy. An added bonus was the Yorkshire Pud which was huge, and had clearly been mad e with TLC. For dessert had a generous helping of Sticky Toffee Pudding which at £5 was great value for money. Next time I shall try the vegan mushroom and spinach wellington as that looked amazing. When a pub puts effort into it's vegetarian and vegan options it shows great thought. Nothing worse than when all they can be bothered to offer is mushroom risotto. To go with our meal they had an excellent light Belgian beer that I've let to see anywhere else in London. At 4% it works perfectly as a lunchtime tipple. Look forward to returning for lunch over the next few months, and it I intend to return for a beer on a summer evening as the selection they have is local and independent craft beer.
