Things to do in London, England: The Best Bars & Clubs

June 18, 2021 Agatha Simes

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Nice pub, staff were (still are hopefully) friendly and the ten quid lunch and a drink deal was good value. Would certainly recommend the frickles but not if you’re one of those people that lob gherkins out of cheeseburgers.

Walking the South Bank on a very busy saturday December evening, we walked past this place and thought it looked so nice we would call in. The place is beautiful yet very comfortable and so relaxing, we had no idea it was the place to be seen?? We never felt out of place and the bartender came and sat and chatted about our choice of drink, which considering he was so busy was a nice touch. Some throw back tunes really added to the atmosphere and everyone around us was having a great time too. Will certainly come back.
