Walk or take the tram to the summit of the Great Orme—you’ll be rewarded with a splendid view of Llandudno, a popular seaside resort in Wales. (Just take a jacket. It can be chilly up there.) On your way up, stop at the Great Orme Copper Mine for a fascinating look at how copper was mined 3,000 years ago.

This recently built Lifeboat Station is situated on the promenade towards the Little Orme and really is impressive. Unfortunately we were unable to gain access in order to see the lifeboat and the equipment properly; we shall have to return on a Sunday. The station has been very tastefully built and looking through the windows, the lifeboat and equipment look impressive. Having lived right by the sea in another area of the country that had a lifeboat, I know and appreciate what a brilliant job the lifeboat crews do to save lives at sea, often at great risk to themselves, so they deserve the best equipment.

A clock built in to the landscape. It is a working clock and an interesting feature on the landscape. Situated at the pier end of town.
