Liverpool's fortunes have historically been tied to shipping. But imports and exports like sugar, spice and tobacco pale in comparison with Liverpool's most famous export of all—the Beatles. Relive the hysteria at the Beatles Story Experience, and check out Paul's childhood home, but also leave time for exploring Liverpool Cathedral and the Walker Art Gallery.

Great place for a relaxing walk, becoming increasingly popular. Free car parking and gate locking time is posted at the entrance. A variety of well defined paths through the meadows, small woodland, scrub and alongside the river Alt Plenty of birdwatching/photography and a variety of plant life. Mesolithic archeological site with explanatory site board and there’s a downloadable interactive app available to fully explain the site. Wildlife and Wetlands Trust (WWT) own and have carried out improvements to the meadows over last few years. Membership also gives access to other good sites like Brockholes near Preston.

The beach at Blundell Sands is one of Liverpool’s best kept secrets. There’s plenty of space to park and the views accros the Mersey estuary of Wales are amazing. Wonderful

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy a picnic with family and friends ,then take a stroll along the waterfront with the River Mersey on one side and woodland on the other. Time to fly a kite this place makes the perfect spot . Bird watching as well as Time out with the children no worries there too at present but the Liverpool Council have plans to do away with much of the woodland area by building a Dual carriageway ..... so what is now will not be in the near future ....
