The museums of Lisbon celebrate the rich history and culture of this Portuguese capital city. The Maritime Museum is perfect for kids (and grown-ups!) who adore all things nautical, while the Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves is a hidden gem of colorful artwork. To fully appreciate the city’s dramatic stone architecture you can take a guided walking tour, or customize your own tour, making sure to visit the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and the UNESCO World Heritage site the Torre de Belem.

This was a fascinating museum, which I highly recommend for anyone wishing to learn more about recent Portugese history. Inexpensive.

Certainly one of the most unusual visitor attractions in Lisbon. It’s a museum and a workshop for the repair of dolls of every kind. Nice history and a lot of toys from old times to see. A lovely guided tour (in English or Portuguese) that costs 2€ per person. Truly a unique place in Lisbon. Bring your camera!

Wasn't sure what to expect but had a great experience here. Fabulous and incredibly interesting displays and "hands on " activities. My husband and I spent a lot more time here than we expected to - such an original place. The building inside and out is very beautiful - in fact the whole square it is situated in and the area round about has some incredible architecture. Well worth a wander round. Would definitely recommend - a great place to visit and for free ( donation welcome).

Because of its 75th anniversary, Comur has delved back into 500 years of history to create an epic collection exalting the feats of the Portuguese at seas worldwide. Secular knowledge and flavours, embraced in a historic tide taking the form of a reencounter of the Sea with its heroes. An epopee now recounted by Comur, a Portuguese preserved food factory.

My wife and I ate here twice, and both meals were great. We shared the chuleton one night, and it was cooked the way we wanted, and it tasted great. The other visit I had salmon and my wife had steak in a mushroom sauce. Again, both were very good. The mushroom sauce was a little thin. If you are in the mood for a more upscale meal for a little more money, I would recommend this restaurant. We did not visit the beer museum, but we heard it was not worth the admission.
