Liberec Region (Czech: Liberecký kraj) is an administrative unit (Czech: kraj) of the Czech Republic, located in the northernmost part of its historical region of Bohemia. It is named after its capital Liberec. The region shares international borders with Germany and Poland. Domestically the region borders the Ústí nad Labem Region to the west, the Central Bohemian Region to the south and the Hradec Králové Region to the east.

Pseudo-Renaissance building built in the late 19th century, dominates the town. The central space is a ceremonial hall with three-part stained glass windows and original furniture. A part of the town hall is also a 48 meters high tower with a clock mechanism and an observation gallery open to public. Every hour you can hear chime sounds with different tunes from the top of the tower.

The oldest houses in liberec
These are the three oldest preserved houses in Liberec The public could admire the Wallenstein houses from the inside only in the Days of Cultural Heritage. Throughout the year, they serve the Liberec Secondary Industrial School of Civil Engineering. The teachers have their rooms in it. From the back of the houses, the original inhabitants had their fields. Instead, extensions were added, which now house classrooms. The house are from 1678 - 1681 and now there are only three left. There used to be many more surrounding the entire square.
