Godfrey Daniels

Reviewed By Sirenchaser - Philadelphia, United States

Having performed there countless times over the decades, I started as a rapt fan shortly after it opened. Patrons sit so close to the stage that one can see the second hands moving on the performers’ wristwatches. Artwork from the ages adorns the walls, the sound is crisp and clear without being overpowering. Genuinely homemade treats make breaks merrier. Dave Fry, the founder, is a genial host and wrote the pilot film on being a troubadour. Director Ramona Murray keeps many moving parts of the enterprise in sync. Performer love playing there, patrons love listening to the first-rate, varying music, and an evening at Godfrey’s is like a warm hug from an old friend.

There's usually four of us that go to concerts regularly. Myself and my daughter, my sister and her daughter. Both the nutcracker and Toby Kieth were excellent shows. Had a blast. Tickets were reasonable and seats were great.

We attended the Christmas show with another couple. The food was surprisingly good for a dinner theater. The play was also way above expectations. They have a permanent staff of multitalented actors and musicians who arranged familiar songs into medleys and composed a few songs as well. The songs were well paced so as to never be too long and they were well sung and entertaining. We’ll be back again.

Saw Dennis Deyoung on the 24th. Great seats, great show. Not much luck in the casino. Prices at food court over priced. Shuttle from hotel, Lyft home. Would return for another concert. Smallish venue makes it perfect to see and hear concert.
