Whether you’re a high roller or a low-key lounger, Las Vegas has something to suit your vacation taste. Sample fare from top chefs and cornucopian buffets, try your luck at one of the world’s premier casinos, or take in a spectacular show. Just wandering the Strip is enough to get your heart pumping. Once you’ve had enough of the razzle-dazzle, wave hello to the toothy sea life at the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, hike Red Rock Canyon, or visit the Neon Museum, where old signs take on new life.

A group of five of us just got back from 5 days in Vegas. We played three rounds of golf at the Revere, Red Rock and Rio Secco. Justin at VIP Golf Services was first class, he did me a good deal on the hire of 5 sets of golf clubs, recommended the courses to us and booked all our tee times. The clubs were like new and the courses he recommended were in very good condition. I highly recommend VIP and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Thanks Justin.

Designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley in 2000, the Bali Hai Golf Club is a worthy namesake of the famous Indonesian land of enchantment. The lush surroundings include seven-acres of opulent water features, a total of 4,000 trees with 2,500 stands of towering palms and 100,000 Balinese tropical plants. Transition and out-of-play areas are accented with Augusta white sand and black volcanic rock outcroppings. The par-71 course measures 7,002 yards from the tips and affords spectacular views of the Strip mega-resorts from the fairways. Bali Hai's unique layout includes teasers like #16, a par-3 island green that frequently comes with an audience from the Cili Restaurant patio and #3, a 468 yard par-4 with a creek running the entire right-side, balanced with a bunker on the left. Play #3 and find out why it's called "Shipwreck." Challenging play, breathtaking scenery and first class facilities make Bali Hai a one-of-a-kind golfer's paradise that Golf Digest named one of the "Top 50 Resort Courses". The course was designed to go in like a lamb and out like a lion, meaning that the drama and thrills build as player progress along the course. "We want to give guests an opportunity to loosen up and enjoy their surroundings before we begin challenging their skills," said Brian Curley. "This will be a fun course ... you'll know you've been tested, but it won't beat you to death. It's the kind of golf course you could play day after day and never tire of its charm."
I’m a very casual, new golfer so I don’t know much about courses and what’s good. All I know is my husband and I had a great time here. We had the first tee time (7 AM) with another twosome but I was so happy they ended up splitting us up so that we could play by ourselves. The twosome played ahead of us because they had caddies and wanted a more personal experience which was all the better for us! The pace of play was really fast; we had expected to finish around noon but we were done by 10:30 AM. My husband also ended up getting a hole-in-one on hole 14 and he won the Par 3 challenge. We the $50 pro shop credit he won from the challenge, we were able to buy a nice commemorative plaque for his hol-in-one. The staff were also super nice and all about service considering the courses we have played on other vacations this year had sub par customer service at best. I would definitely play here again. It is pricy and there is some airport noise from planes landing but the course is the closest to the strip and gives you a quintessential Vegas feel with the great views of the strip.

Royal Links was built to honor the rich legacy and tradition of the game of golf. Designed by Dye International, this links-style course features holes inspired by 11 different Open Championship rotation courses, including the “Road Hole” and “Hell Bunker” from the Old Course at St. Andrews and the “Postage Stamp” from Royal Troon. Other courses in the loop include Carnoustie, Turnberry, Royal Liverpool, Prestwick, Royal Lytham, Muirfield and Royal Birkdale. Royal Links Golf Club opens the 2017 season new discounts for local residents. Under new ownership and management, Royal Links now has local, military and non-peak rates along with annual memberships. The facility features an all-grass driving range and the Royal Pro Shop has an extensive selection of traditional and non-traditional golf attire.
This review is aimed at people who have not played links courses. Royal Links is a unique golf experience and is far different than the typical course that one finds in America. There is no water on the course and all course management revolves around navigating and avoiding the greater than 100 pot bunkers scattered throughout. Downloading the Royal Links app which contains each hole's layout is a must as there is no in cart navigation system. The course was in good overall condition with firm dry fairways with lots of roll off drives. The rough was dry and at times thick and spongy unlike traditional rough that one finds on most courses. The fairways and collection areas around the greens were cut very tight making chipping a challenge. The greens were dry, firm, and very fast. Rental clubs were a decent Callaway set (can't remember type) with 1 3 5 woods, 4 5 hybrid, 6-PW irons and 56 degree wedge. No other brands were offered. 6 balls were included. Overall it was a fun memorable outing that everyone should try at least once. I'd definitely play it again. We saw a coyote and a roadrunner too!

Play where Tiger Woods won his first tournament, and the "RAT PACK" played and entertained. When you play golf at Las Vegas National Golf Club, you will forget you are in the desert. This exquisite championship golf course, conveniently located only 5 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, is the former host of the PGA Tour’s Tournament of Champions, Sahara Invitational and the Las Vegas Invitational. Classic in design, this course combines rolling fairways, glistening lakes and greens well protected by palm, pine and olive trees. Just after completion in 1961, The National, then called the Stardust Country Club, hosted its first professional golf event, the LPGA Championship. From that date forward history was made. The layout, designed by Bert Stamps, is traditional and is a challenge for the best of players. The National has become a landmark over the last 50 years. It was host to the movie “Casino”, starring Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci. Use a Cart, GolfBoard, or Scooter.
The staff was very friendly to begin with. The course was in good shape, over seeding had just taken place so the putting greens were slow. A great value!
