Visit Cruden Farm – a special place left by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch for the people to enjoy, that is now managed by a charitable trust. Enjoy a day at Cruden farm, the property Keith Murdock offered in 1928 as a wedding gift for his young wife Elisabeth.For over 40 years, she dedicated her life to develop the 20-acre property with her devoted gardener, Michael Morrison. It's a place of hidden paths,majestuous trees,enchanting spots for picnic, walking or meditation. The life story of Dame Edna is as fascinating as her property. It is now operated by a charitable trust. If you are a garden lover, you will be in heaven.

Located next to the amazing McLelland Sculpture park (you can actually enter via that attraction) is this pretty bushland reserve.. numerous entry points but the best one is on Sycamore St/poplar ave

A fantastic opportunity to see a variety of local animals and plants in a natural habitat, easily accessible to the public. A variety of local terrestrial orchids can also be seen in flower. The only issue is that there are no facilities such as toilets or a cafe (or water) - so take that into account when visiting.
