I visited this beautiful square which isn’t too far of a walk from the train station. It’s near the amphitheater too. The main fountain is ornate and is surrounded by shops and cafes. There were lovely gardened areas and a monoprix.

As you walk the narrow Streets of Carcassonne it is often difficult to catch any sunlight so finding this open space is like a miracle! The statue itself is also nice and fresh water makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. Take a moment to sit down and rest!
