Maybe you're not an Olympian, but if you're looking for a top-notch winter sports destination, Lake Placid is the place for you. Try bobsledding, downhill skiing, ice climbing, speed skating or even ski jumping, or just enjoy shopping in the town's boutiques and warming up in one of the many restaurants. But Lake Placid isn't just a winter wonderland. Beautiful Adirondack State Park, which is larger than Yosemite or Yellowstone National Parks, offers year-round outdoor activities.

If I could give 10 stars I would! As a Massage Therapist myself I have had the pleasure to receive many spa treatments and massages over the last 12 years, but none compare to the Mirror Lake Inn. From beginning to end I was in pure bliss. Every person who works there was beyond nice and accommodating,my therapist Sandy did a fantastic job. I recieved the 80 minute Adirondack Maple Scrub with massage which is started with an amazing scrub where you are showered off with the vichy shower (heaven) once that was finished I was taken to another room for my massage which was just as splendid as the scrub. I find that a lot of times these services seem very rushed and go by quickly, that was not the case here! I floated out of there feeling like I had been in there all day. I was so relaxed, I could not stop smiling. I cannot wait to plan my next trip to this spa, it does not disappoint!

Who would think a foot massage could be so transporting? I would be a regular if this place was closer to my home. I left relaxed and the feeling extended beyond my feet. Special touches like the aromatherapy and the tea and scented water we’re really nice. Would go again next time in Lake Placid.

Ranked among the Top 100 Spas in North America by Conde Nast Traveler, our intimate 8000-square-foot spa blends the rustic beauty of its setting with a relaxing and serene ambiance. The Spa at Whiteface Lodge takes its inspiration from the complex mosaic of Adirondack Mountain life and delivers luxurious treatments.
We had a wonderful weekend at the lodge with many services at the spa. 3 of my children got haircuts by Alyssa. I had my hair dyed. We all look like new! Alyssa is incredible. My daughter and I had a manicure and pedicure with Alyssa which were fantastic too. I had a really amazing deep tissue massage as well and it took so much tension away. The staff were taking many precautions due to Covid-19. We felt very safe. The staff at the spa is top notch. I have been going there for many years and it keeps getting better.
