Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve

Reviewed By obadiahm2019 - Nairobi, Kenya

It is one of the Kenya's protected areas. The pristine forest offer alot of beautiful scenery. Once you get the tickets, there are forest rangers waiting to take you around since you cannot walk around the forest for there are wild animals that are dangerous. You start by walking over the 450mtrs canopy hanging bridge. Here you have an amazing view. You can see from the attached photos. . After the walk from the bridge, you can hike for about 3kms, or drive by a 4X4 vehicle. Here the terrain is tough. You get to total blue natural pool. Here there's a mini water fall splashing from the rocks. It's an outlet of underground water from Mt. Kenya. You can enjoy swimming in the cold water of the pool. From here you can walk or drive to the starting point. It's a great place for hikers.
