I always loved going to the Rodale Institute, whether to buy plants and educational gifts for my nieces and nephews or to bring my students there for a tour. Their work with local farmers contributes to a better quality of life in the Kutztown area and provides guidance for sustainable and healthy agriculture and organic gardening. I always meet interesting folks who work there and the grounds are beautiful. So glad the Rodale Institute is part of the greater Kutztown Community. I've learned a lot from their educators, books and activities over the years. Don't miss a chance to visit this family friendly Berks County treasure!!!

What a treat to ride the train through the countryside. Especially lovely at the holidays, and there's a Santa train! Great for the kids, for a date, or just a little adventure. So glad that they keep this history alive- and in Kutztown! Safe, clean and fun, with friendly engineers! Enjoy the beautiful historic train station too! Check the hours, as they may be seasonal and select weekends.
