Krabi (Thai: กระบี่, pronounced [krā.bìː]) is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand, on the shore of the Strait of Malacca. Neighbouring provinces are (from north clockwise) Phang Nga, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Trang. Phuket Province lies to the west across Phang Nga Bay. Krabi town is the seat of provincial government.

In reality ASALANTA is a little earthen village in a bamboo forest, hidden away in the valley with a surrounding mountain stream. Yet here you can get inspired, enjoy nature, learn by living and see sustainability in practice. Our lodge offers a unique stay and experience, The Eco Life Adventure. Visitors have access to the village and can cool down with a fresh ice tea at The Organic Teahouse & Earth Shop. Myself and my boyfriend went to a macrame class at Asalanta and loved every minute! Anke and Aoi have built an incredible haven in the jungle which works as a home, a creative space, an organic tearoom, unique shop and an inspiring learning zone. From the moment we arrived, Anke, Aoi (and their beautiful daughter, Asa) were welcoming, passionate and knowledgable about everything from turning clay into bricks, a river into running water using solar powered energy and gravity, bamboo into a balcony and a waxy string into a perfectly knotted hammock for a hand picked stone/crystal. The food at Asalanta is fresh, local, organic and very tasty! The class was fun, informative and a great success, as we both left with beautiful pieces of jewellery and the knowledge on how to continue our new hobby at home. We would both highly recommend visiting Asalanta, whether it be for just a tea, snack or one of the many classes they put on. We had a fantastic day and will certainly be returning!

My 2-year-old daughter absolutely loved this place. We had initially thought to both see the snakes and the monkeys, with the monkeys as the favourite attraction (my daughter love monkeys) but we didn't brought enough cash and they didn't took credit card so we decided to skip the snake part. However, they took mercy on my daughter and we had a great tour of the snake pits and could both have pictures taken and hold a snake. They were explaining about the different snakes as we went through the different cages. Don't know if there are more to the snake tour normally but we got enough to keep us all interested and entertained. The main event was the monkeys. They had two very adorable monkeys which was training for different things, like taking down a coconut and we could feed them and pat them. My daughter was mesmerised and have talked about it the entire stay and even after returning from Thailand. I had my doubts about going there because I want to make sure the animals is treated properly and isn't in harm or pain. Of course I can't be sure but it seemed like a good place where the animals was treated good and their caretakers was interested in their well-being. Would recommend, especially for children

We are Butterfly Complex Center on Ko Lanta. We have Herb & Fruit Garden. You can see Pineapple Plantation, and some local animals. Like Eagle, Otter, Squirrel and Monkey. We also have some Colourful Butterflies.
