Tour # 1. HOUSE BOAT CRUISE in KERALA BACKWATERS .. On this full-day tour, you'll hop on a car, mini van or coach and take the scenic coastal road towards the city of Alleppey, the backwater region in Kerala. It is serene waterways fringed by palm groves and paddy fields and offer a view of traditional life there. It's also known as the "Venice of the East". You'll board a modern version of the old rice barges, the houseboat, for a cruise through the canals. Tour # 2. CITY TOUR OF COCHIN. This half-day tour of the city will give you an idea of how years of visiting explorers and traders have made Cochin into the cultural melting pot that it is today. You'll head to Mattancherry by car, mini van, or coach and stop at the Dutch Palace. It's home to Hindu murals that cover entire walls. You'll then move on to Asia's best preserved synagogue, before using the shops in Jew Town. Next, is on to Fort Cochin Heritage –Also visit Chinese Fishing Nets, Church of St. Francis, & Beach.

Cochin one of South India’s most interesting towns, still largely comprises low rise, picturesque buildings. Visit Mattanchery Palace, built by the Portuguese (1557) as a gift for the Raja of Kochi in exchange for trading rights, it was largely rebuilt by the new occupants, the Dutch. Further visit Jewish Synagogue adjacent to the Palace. This gem of a synagogue dating from 1568 (rebuilt in 1662) at the heart of what is called locally Jew Town, now a fascinating mixture of shops (some selling antiques), warehouses and spice auction rooms. Later on drive to Fort Kochi beach area to visit St. Francis Church originally dedicated to Santo Antonio, the patron saint of Portugal, St. Francis Church is the first to reflect the new, European influenced tradition. Vasco da Gama died on the site in 1524 and was originally buried in the cemetery. Fourteen years later his body was removed to Portugal. Our final visit will be to huge Chinese Fishing Nets line the entrance to the harbour mouth.
