The Route 66 Museum is truly unique in that it is a museum of history, housed in a historical building that lighted the way for the earliest Route 66 travelers. The building, built between 1907 & 1911, powered early Kingman and area mines starting in July, 1909. It also supplied power for the construction of Hoover Dam, until the Dam began producing cheaper hydroelectric power in the late 1930’s. The Route 66 Electric Vehicle Museum, the first of it’s kind anywhere. This Museum includes twenty-nine (and counting) vehicles on loan from the Historic Electric Vehicle Foundation, with members world-wide. The tour begins with an elevator ride down 21 stories (210 feet) to the Chapel of the Ages cavern, the scene of numerous weddings throughout the years and large enough to hold two football fields. Your guide will tell you about the history of these awesome Caverns. Our adventure finishes at our local winery where grapes thrive in our area due to the high aquifer.

Your next stop is the Sante Fe Railroad Train on the famous Route 66 in Kingman, Arizona. The scenery and rock formations around Kingman are truly stunning and were the backdrop for many movies of the Western genre. You will then proceed to one of the most awe-inspiring places in the world, Grand Canyon National Park, where you will spend 3 full hours. You have the option to walk without your guide and have a romantic picnic along the 2.5-mile paved rim trail, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world.
