Where do I even begin!? I contacted Minzifa Travel to arrange a last minute trip to Uzbekistan...and by last minute, I mean 10 days before our arrival in the country. They were responsive and exceeded our expectations at every juncture. They put together a comprehensive itinerary, helped us get an urgent visa, and were flexible both before and during our trip. Not only did they put together a great itinerary, but the guides and drivers that they utilized were outstanding! I am sure I will omit some, but Dilya, Rihanna, Mustafo, Inessa, and Azam all provided outstanding tours with clear English and substantial knowledge on a variety of subjects. In addition, Nadir and Yousef were delightful and safe drivers. Most notably, Lolita did a phenomenal job planning every detail of our trip and helping us make changes and adjustments where they were needed. Khiva is a unique and magic city that is usually called as Open Air Museum as most of the monuments are UNESCO-protected. Khiva’s somewhat inconvenient location means many skip it altogether, but we’d consider it an essential part of Uzbekistan’s Silk Road story wrapped up in an enchanting, pocket-sized city. If you’re pushed for time, the most impressive sights can be ticked off in a day. On this one-day tour, it’s easy to imagine the ways that merchants must have walked through the same streets as you yourself take this walking sightseeing tour of Khiva.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, *Air tickets Tashkent – Urgench – Tashkent (Economy class)*;, * Sightseeing excursion with a certified guide., * All entrance fees to the museums as specified in the program;
Exclusions: Lunch, Dinner, Personal expenses
My tour of Bukhara was the highlight of my trip to Uzbekistan. My guide, Lola, was arguably the best tour guide I’ve had the pleasure to sightsee with. She had an exceptional knowledge of the history and landmarks and her enthusiasm of the subject matter was infectious. She tailored the tour to my interest and was extremely patient as I nerded out taking photographs. I so enjoyed my day with her and hope to get her as a guide again on my next trip to Uzbekistan. The tour was effortless with hotel pick up and drop off. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Well worth it!!
The Silk Road is one of the dream destinations of many travellers! Countless nations, merchants and pilgrims travelled along this longest trading route in history. Over and over again, adventurers have succumbed to the fascination of this caravansary route. You too can trace these routes through famous cultural landscapes! Along with the historic towns of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, which owe their splendour and importance to former caravansaries and to craftwork, you will visit Nukus with its valuable Savitski Museum, and Shakhrisabz, the town of Amir Timur (Tamerlan), as well as Termez, the old centre of Buddhism. You will learn what place the ancient monuments of Buddhists and Zoroastrians have in today’s Uzbekistan. Discover the heart of Uzbekistan’s Silk Road – a hospitable country where traditions and modern life exist harmoniously side by side.

The trip to the Aral Lake allows tourists to experience human madness, to feel the wonders of nature. The adventurous and active tour to the Aral Lake which is on the border of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan illustrates the extent of the tragedy surrounding the disappearance of the Aral Lake. The tour to the Aral Lake leaves one with mixed feelings of admiration and sadness. Admiration for the unbelievable beauty of the barren landscape and the Ustjurt Plateaus. And sadness because of the bare wounds of this area which are so evident. In the unusual landscape of deserts and oases, we meet hospitable people – open to the West and yet still bound up in their centuries-old culture.

The ancient city of Khiva which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a marvelous and significant historical site, but is also the one which is often overlooked. Located in the main Silk Road route, it used to be a major trading and commercial post along the route. Because of its significance and centeredness to the Silk Route, it was named the capital of the Islamic Khanate in 16th century.

Recently visited Uzbekistan on a Solo photographic tour. The local guide Mr.Fayzullo was very very helpful into the entire trip right from the Welcome Smile at the airport to the departing hug. He has a keen knowledge and understanding of not just the Uzbek Silk-route History but also the other part of Silk route. He made sure to answer all my queries whenever needed. Spent almost 2 weeks and came back home with lots of memories and (3kg) of extra body weight after relishing some of the greatest meat dishes.
